About Us
Rightway Driving School is the largest and the longest serving driving instruction school on the Gold Coast, having been established since 1959.
Our main goal is for you to gain your driving licence the first time you sit for the test, whilst also teaching you to be a safe driver. We wish you to obtain every possible type of driving experience encountered on the roads, and at the same time recognise all other aspects of driving such as hazard recognition and decision making, prior to implementing the task.
Part of our process is to “Match” the personality of the Instructor to your requirements; this will assist you to learn in a more effective manner. We currently have over 25 qualified and experienced Instructors, with a full combination of Males and Females across Manual and Automatic vehicles.
All of our vehicles are late model, air-conditioned, fully insured and carry our large sign on the roof. We are also one of very few schools recognised by RACQ as an approved driving school.

If you’re looking for mock test training, avoid this company at all costs. My instructor totally ignored what I wanted to work on, rambling about how terrible OTHER driving schools are and how they don’t teach you how to drive, only how to pass the test. Doesn’t give any hints about the courses at all.
Was late to my appointment, rambled for 20 or so minutes about how the car worked and I still only got about 20mins driving in if that then he finished up after the hour which was unfair. Was not informed of what I wanted to even be driving (wanted to upgrade from auto to manual on my Ps), when I replied no to having a logbook he said well then what do you want? Clearly no communication in this company following calling them to book where the trainee could not answer my questions and “passed” me to a supervisor who was talking from across the room and couldn’t be heard. The instructor also unnecessarily took over the controls.
